I've never been one to really have an interest in the Academy Awards. But for some reason I turned on the E! red carpet pre-show, and I've been watching this whole extravaganza for the past 4 hours. A lot of actresses really turned it out tonight, very simple and elegant. While I enjoy the next few presentations left, I'll share some of my favorite red carpet looks.


Amy Adams made a smart choice to wear this red Carolina Herrera number. However every time the camera was on her I keep lusting after the Fred Leighton necklace. It. Is. Stunning.


This is such an Angelina Jolie look. Very Grecian goddess in Prada.


Everyone keeps hating on Miley Cyrus! She's 16 years old! She looks 16 years old! Yes, her Valentino dress from last year may have been more like the usual red carpet wear, but I think this Zuhair Murad dress is very inspired. It's like some sort of coastal Italian city cotillion dress.


I totally have a school girl crush on John Legend, and I think he and his girlfriend Christine Teigen look adorable. The brown Prada suit was a good choice.


Hello Gorgeous! Kate Winslet in YSL. I hope she wins for Best Actress.

Dev Patel in the old BBC show Skins was too good. I really need to see Slumdog already. Frieda Pinto is gonna be on everyone's best dressed list in John Galliano.


This is my favorite dress of the night. I've been really obsessed with black lately. Sequins are always a favorite. And Dior is timeless.
